A Poem

by Janet G.

The sun is shining, a slight breeze delights.
The air has a perfume scent with floral highlights.
Small birds frolic amongst verdant trees
And sing sans accompaniment knowing they please
All who can hear them from each slender perch,
Almost an experience one would have in church.
The rain graced the ground for days to insure
The nourishment of earth so all this could endure
And each creature with five senses could rejoice,
Imagining they could hear God’s nurturing voice.
