Trying to figure out what to buy each year gets harder and harder. Instead of typical gifts such as sweaters, socks or fragrance, what about giving the gift of art?

Prints.  You can buy a variety of photographs, drawings and prints at 20×200.  The prices start at $24. Be sure to frame the art so it is ready to hang. You can purchase simple frames at any art store.

Theater Tickets. Most cities, big and small, have local theaters that put on productions, colleges also put on plays and there are many organizations that offer discounts on tickets so you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg. Purchase season tickets for plays, operas and concerts.

Movies. Lots of movie theaters have gift certificates available for multiple movie tickets. If your loved one loves the movies, give a block of movie tickets or gift certificate.

Music. Instead of buying a bunch of CDs, why not get them a yearly subscription to Pandora or some tunes on Rhapsody. If they like to play music, you can buy some sheet music, guitar strings, drumsticks or reeds.

Supplies. If someone you know enjoys the creative process, you can give them a gift certificate to a local art store or buy them some supplies.  Paints, clay, a variety of sprinkles and cookie cutters for the baker or some photography paper would all be welcome gifts.
