As the jingling of the holiday season sets in and thoughts start to turn to what’s coming in 2012, I first want to express my deep appreciation for the passions you’ve shared and for the support you’ve given food for the soul™ this past year—and what a year it’s been! The whole food for the soul™ concept is growing in so many ways. What started out a few years ago as a concept for an online community where people could find inspiration has been greatly expanded into a thriving exchange of ideas to feed the inspiration within!
Plenty to Be Grateful For
Thanks for making a difference by supporting charitable organizations such as Hearts of Gold, Mustard Seed Communities and Mama Knows Best’s efforts on behalf of Breast Cancer Awareness.
Thanks for your contributions, comments and forwards; also we appreciate the growing tweeps and likes which tell us you value what food for the soul™ provides.
Raising the Bar in
Chef Search. We’d love to hear from more of you and invite you to be a guest chef! Here’s how: send your ideas, stories, quotes, and questions to inspiration@foodforthesoul.us. Your idea may fit in The Daily Special, your quotes might be selected as a Daily Treat, and your stories may be published as a Main Course. If you’d like a few tips on how to create your post, check out our Blogateria.
Support. If you find value in what food for the soul™ serves up each day, we invite you to make a donation to support us as we evolve our menu and expand our reach. As a special gift, for donations of $25 or more, you will receive a food for the soul™ mug filled with delicious goodies.
Giving Back. We intend to re-launch our Charity Bake-Off program, through which food for the soul™ members will help identify and select a deserving non-profit organization for us to support. Look for details in an upcoming Newsbite.
Marketplace. We are opening the food for the soul™ café—a virtual takeout counter with unique items for sale. Inaugurating our Café is our food for the soul™ mug, a beautiful and generously sized cappuccino coffee mug bearing our logo with a reminder to “feed the inspiration within.” The mugs make great gifts and are available either alone or filled (coffee, cocoa, cookies). We’ll keep you posted about the launch of our Café.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what we are cooking up, so be sure to stop by any time of day or night and keep feeding the inspiration within from our diverse menu!
As 2011 comes to a close, warmest wish for a Merry Holiday and a prosperous, satisfying, inspiring New Year!
