For at least a decade, I’ve had a dream. I wanted to write a book. The subject of this book was fathers and I called it Glad About Dads. I envisioned it as my homage to my father–a book that was inspired by Natalie Cole’s digital remix of “Unforgettable.” I had my book proposal all ready. My friends were all behind me. I spoke with a mentor who put me in touch with an agent. I felt I was on my way. Then came the feedback: Donna, it’s too bad you aren’t a celebrity or have a famous father. The result is that I have co-authored a book about freedom, with Sharon Brick, called The Freedom Zone: Your Gateway to Love, Liberty and Happiness and it will be on sale in a few short weeks.
