The Thrifty HoG — an upscale resale boutique offering a selection of chic new and very gently used clothing and accessories for men, women and children, as well as home decor items and small furnishings — is located at 11 West 25th Street (between 6th & Broadway) in New York City.

The Thrifty HoG is a unique retail establishment in two ways: 1) the proceeds benefit the homeless mothers and children supported by Hearts of Gold, and 2) the shop also provides job training for these struggling women.

Founded in 1996, Hearts of Gold is a NYC based non-profit organization whose mission is to foster sustainable change in lifestyle levels of self-sufficiency for homeless mothers and their children.

To date, the organization has helped more than 10,000 homeless families and has raised more than $1.6 million, providing everything from diapers, winter coats and summer camp tuition for the children to mammograms, educational scholarships, and landlord negotiations for the mothers.
